Bounce Curl™ Slick-Dense Define Brush combines soft, flexible bristles with a denser bristle layout to provide more contact and control through the hair while still maintaining a gentler feel than Bounce Curl's firmer, higher-tension defining brushes.
Like the Slick-Flex Define Brush, it is designed to support medium-sized curl clumps. The difference is in the amount of resistance: more closely spaced bristles give the Slick-Dense greater tension and control, while the soft-flex tips help keep that tension comfortable through the hair.
This makes it a useful middle ground for hair that benefits from a softer brush but needs more control than the widely spaced Slick-Flex provides.

DONNA’S PROFESSIONAL NOTES:
• The easiest way to understand the difference between this and the Slick-Flex is bristle density. The Slick-Flex has fewer bristles spaced further apart, creating the least resistance. The Slick-Dense has more bristles, so more of the hair is engaged as the brush passes through the section.
• That increased contact gives you greater control and tension while defining, without moving all the way into the firmer feel of Bounce Curl's higher-tension brushes.
• I see this as the middle-ground option for someone who finds a firmer defining brush too much, but doesn't necessarily need the extremely low resistance of the Slick-Flex.
• Bristle density doesn't determine your finished curl size on its own. Section size, water and product ratio, brush angle, tension and how the hair is released from the brush all influence the final result.
• As with any styling brush, use only as much tension as the hair comfortably tolerates. Damaged or fragile hair doesn't benefit from being repeatedly pulled simply in pursuit of stronger definition.

HOW TO USE:
Use on wet, detangled hair with styling product distributed evenly.
Working in sections, place the hair against the brush pad and glide the brush through using comfortable tension. Allow the hair to move through the defining edges to encourage smooth, consistent curl groupings.
Scrunch after brushing as needed, then air dry or diffuse.
Do not use the brush with direct heat.
CLEANING:
Remove trapped hair from the bristles regularly.
Wash gently with mild shampoo or use a brush-safe cleaner. Rinse thoroughly and air dry completely with the bristles facing down.
