The Volume EdgeLift Brush is a curl styling brush designed to create smaller curl clumps and increased lift during the styling stage.

Unlike the original Define version (which forms larger curl families), this brush features narrower lateral edges to encourage finer groupings and more volume at the root.

This is not simply a detangling brush.
It is a tension tool that refines curl formation before drying.

BEST FOR:
• Creating more volume without disrupting curl integrity
• Smaller curl clumps rather than broad definition
• Wavy, curly and coily hair types
• Styling while applying product in one step

DONNA'S PROFESSIONAL NOTES:

• Detangling + styling combined. I find this to be suitable for detangling while simultaneously applying product on most heads of hair.

• When working with very tight textures, I will detangle and style using an alternative tool, depending on density and shrinkage.

• Tension refines the result. The bristles provide smoothing tension, reinforced as the hair glides over the edge of the brush. Pulling at a steeper angle increases resistance and can encourage more ribbony, tubular ringlets if that is your goal.

• Section size matters. Smaller sections create more curl groupings and lift. Larger sections form broader curl families.

• A word of care. Very tubular ringlets — particularly on long, fine strands — should be gently separated in the days following wash day to avoid interlocking. Always observe your fibre behaviour.

CLEANING:
Remove hair from bristles.
Spray with alcohol or gentle cleanser (max 10 minutes).
