Bounce Curl™ Turmeric Purifying Hair & Scalp Mask

Bounce Curl™ Turmeric Purifying Hair & Scalp Mask is a rinse-out cleansing treatment designed to help remove product build-up, excess oils and everyday residue from both the scalp and hair.

Despite the word mask, this isn't a deep-conditioning treatment. It's job is to give the hair and scalp a thorough reset. The aloe and apple cider vinegar-based formula includes heptyl glucoside, a mild cleansing ingredient, alongside charcoal, green tea, chamomile, niacinamide and a blend of botanical oils.

Used after shampooing and followed with conditioner, it leaves the hair feeling thoroughly refreshed without simply relying on a stronger shampoo. It can be especially useful when hair has begun to feel coated, flat, less responsive or simply not quite as clean and free-moving as usual.

I find this product to be something of a game changer. I've been using it on my own fine hair and love the feeling of cleanliness and bounce it gives both my scalp and my hair. It now permanently lives in my shower.

I use it alongside Malibu C Hard Water Wellness Hair Remedy, but the two have different jobs. Malibu C is a chelating treatment, specifically designed to bind to and help remove mineral deposits from the hair. The Bounce Curl Turmeric Purifying Mask is the one I reach for when I want to address product, oil and everyday build-up on the scalp and hair. Depending on what has accumulated, your hair may benefit from one, the other, or occasionally both.

And don't let the word mask make you think this is a moisturising hair mask. This is primarily a cleansing and purifying treatment. Condition your hair afterwards.

DIRECTIONS:
Shampoo and rinse the hair first. Section the hair and apply the mask from the scalp through to the ends, ensuring the hair is thoroughly saturated. Leave for 12–15 minutes, then rinse well and follow with conditioner.

Bounce Curl also recommends the product for use as a shampoo booster or targeted scalp treatment.

How often you need a purifying treatment will depend on your hair, scalp, styling routine and the amount of product or oil accumulating between washes. I prefer using treatments like this as required, rather than automatically assigning them to a weekly schedule, though weekly is about the frequency I'm using it.

FRAGRANCE NOTES:
Fresh and invigorating, with mint, peppermint and eucalyptus notes. The formula also contains rosemary, turmeric and tea tree oils.
