Upgrade from your flannelette, cotton, linen or poly-blend pillowcases to Clever Curl™ RPET Satin Pillowcases—eco-friendly, vegan and cruelty-free alternatives to silk.

Unlike flannelette, cotton, linen or poly-blend bed linen which can pull at your hair and create friction, RPET satin allows your hair to glide smoothly over the pillowcase as you turn and roll over during sleep.

DONNA'S NOTES:
Overnight protection of your curls is important for both the health AND the look of your hair.

While you can't avoid some break-up of your curl families while you sleep, sleeping on a reduced friction surface such as RPET satin will protect the cuticle layer of your hair strands, contributing to an overall healthier head of curls. From my perspective as a curl specialist, this is really important!

Now, to varying degrees (which will depend on your hair type), your curl 'set' (how you dried your curls on wash day) will ALSO be helpfully protected by sleeping on a reduced friction surface such as RPET satin.

Whether you pile your long curls loosely into a satin/silk/RPET satin scrunchie (a la 'pineapple'), wear a buff, a silk-lined hair-wrap, a night cap bonnet, use a silk scarf, or a combination of any of the above, I tell my curlfriends all the little extras that we do to care for our hair are all valuable 2%-ers that can add up to benefit the overall health AND appearance of your hair.

Should you find that you get hot at night, the RPET satin does wick moisture away and is cool (and soft) to the touch.

WHAT IS RPET?
RPET stands for 'Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate'. The use of RPET in textiles for human use has specific benefits that align with sustainability, performance, and comfort. It is an eco-friendly alternative as it repurposes plastic waste, like bottles, into fabrics, helping reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry. This cuts down on the need for virgin polyester, saving raw materials and reducing pollution.

NOTE ABOUT THE LITTLE BOX:
The image does show a branded box that the pillowcase comes packaged in. If we are sending your order in a courier bag the branded box will squash, so we remove it and send the pillowcase in it's beautiful little outer bag. If we are sending your order in a box, which we do if it won't fit into our largest courier bags, the pillow case will be sent in it's beautiful little outer bag with it's original branded box packaging also.
