Malibu C 'Hard Water Wellness® Hair Remedy' Sachet
As curly folk we're often looking at what products go ONTO our hair, but rarely question the quality of the water that we use to facilitate the cleansing, conditioning and styling of our lovely curly locks with those said products!
Our hair strands are like a sponge, and absorb minerals from our water. These minerals do not wash away with shampoo or non-lathering cleansers, and can build-up, causing discolouration, dryness and brittle hair.
As the folk from Malibu C say..."What's hiding in your water? Calcium, magnesium, copper, chlorine, iron - the list goes on!"
Malibu C 'Hard Water Wellness® Hair Remedy' is a treatment product with curl-friendly ingredients which weaken the magnetic bond and gently removes the minerals from the surface of the hair, revealing your true hair.
Being infused with Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) also means that the retention of moisture upon completion of the cleansing and conditioning is improved.
Having a very low pH also means that the cuticle is not raised in the process!
HOW TO USE
Tear open the sachet and pour the powder contents across wet palm. Rub hands together, adding water to dissolve the powder and amplify it to a bulky paste. Apply and scrunch throughout hair, leave for up to 5 minutes. Some textures will be able to finger detangle gently with this product in. Rinse out, and follow up with your favourite washday line-up.
Following the Cut It Kinky education I completed in USA, I've been using this on clients with tight curls texture for a few months now, and have been trialling it on my looser curl clients also, after trialling it on my own hair. I LOVE the result. The hair becomes more hydrated and hydratable, the curl families form well, and the condition of the hair is delightfully improved. During use, minerals that have been absorbed by your hair will bind with the ascorbic acid in the product, so if you notice a metal smell lifting off your hair you'll know this treatment was needed! While the directions say to use once a week, in my own experience I would say only use as required.
Glucose, Ascorbic Acid, Sodium Gluconate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, Betaine.
