Cabela™ Curlssential Cleanser – Sulphate-Free Lathering Cleanser

Cabela™ Curlssential Cleanser is a mild, sulphate-free cleanser designed to gently cleanse the scalp while maintaining hydration through the lengths.

Proudly made in New Zealand and formulated in the Waikato district, this cleanser is powered by amino acid–based surfactants that remove buildup without leaving the hair feeling stripped.

True to the Cabela philosophy, this formula includes a uniquely Aotearoa botanical blend, sustainably sourced through a Tangata Whenua–owned enterprise, featuring:
• Mamaku (Papamoa)
• Green Tea (Gordonton)
• Blackcurrant (Marlborough)
• Red Seaweed (Northland)

These plant actives contribute hydration, antioxidant support and gloss enhancement while honouring local sourcing.

Though sulphate-free, this formula does produce lather — offering a fresh, clean feel while supporting moisture balance.

• This cleanser lathers. While sulphate-free, it is not a non-lather cleanser.
• If you are following The Curly Girl Method as originally written by Lorraine Massey, that method does not incorporate lathering cleansers. If that is your approach, choose one of our non-lather options instead.
• If you follow the Cut It Kinky protocol, or prefer the feeling of a lathering cleanse, this is suitable for all textures.
• Focus application on the scalp. Massage intentionally and add water rather than more product to increase lather.
• Rinse thoroughly and follow with Curlfection Conditioner or your preferred conditioning step.

DIRECTIONS:
Wet hair thoroughly.
Dispense cleanser and distribute through hair, focusing on scalp and root area.
Massage with fingertips or a scalp brush.
Rinse thoroughly and follow with conditioner.
